My first step into the blog world - ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಮೊದಲ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ

Friends,

As the global green cover is on a decline, I chose to name my blog ashOkavana (referring to the garden, mythologically well known for sheltering Seetha in the epic Ramayana) so that it might remind us on the importance of forests, the lungs of mother Earth, thus motivating us to protect them.

ಗೆಳೆಯರೇ,

ನನ್ನ ಬ್ಲಾಗನ್ನು ಅಶೋಕವನ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಿಸುವ ಮುಖಾಂತರ, ಪ್ರತಿ ಬಾರಿ ನನ್ನ ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ನೋಡಿದವರಿಗೆ ಅರಣ್ಯಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆ, ಭೂತಾಯಿಯ ಶ್ವಾಸಕೋಶಗಳಂತಿರುವ  ಅವುಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ಹೊಣೆ ನೆನಪಾಗಿ, ಆ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮಿಂದಾದ ಶ್ರಮಪಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮೊದಲಿಡಲೆಂದು ಆಶಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ.
